Happy Aquarius Season 2026
Happy Aquarius Season.
This is by far the most contradictory sign! IMO. (My Astro friends have heard me rant about it plenty!) I don't normally fly the Aquarian flag the way everyone else does. Yes, it's a sign of the collective, community and our big visions. But it's cold and detached. (Ruled by Saturn first, Uranus after.) It doesn't care for humanity the way the water signs do. Its concern is with progress and pushing limits. It 'cares' that humanity evolves, yes, but if not integrated with Leo's heart, then evolution becomes mechanical. Only for evolution's sake. It rules tech, science and innovation and our nervous system...only the most important 'tech' out there...
I attract SO many Aquarians. (I have my Jupiter in Aquarius in the 5th house ) I admire their detachment as it doesn't come naturally to me. I was listening to a podcast recently and the presenter talked about detachment and distance. (I do distance very well...especially when grumpy and moody...shadow water side! Sigh).
Detachment in Yogic philosophy is vairagya. It's not withdrawal or lack of care. It's non-clinging. And it's this very quality Aquarius must be celebrated for. When aligned it engages in community without the need for reward. It makes choices without the practice of consumption. It has presence (because it's anchored in Capricorn) and carries no expectations. It's the one fixed sign that has zero expectations. (Taurus and Leo are all about them. Scorpio has them, but won't tell you it does.)
As we step into Aquarius season today, the sky is BUSY!!! My theme for the day is ‘Reinvention and Power’. Everybody and their grandma is getting a piece of the Aquarian pie. This is the water-bearer, one of only two human symbols in the zodiac. As an air sign it connects to relationships. Those of a higher mind, those that go beyond the every day (when we get to Pisces this really strengthens, but we're not there yet.) 'Relationships' as connectors. Of people, yes, but also systems. (Think the nervous system....society...AI...etc).
And as all of the planets move here (Mars is coming on Friday) we have to look at two things. Are we open to innovate towards our dreams and goals (that we just set on the Capricorn New Moon), are we able to create new systems of meaning that can in fact benefit us all (is that even possible?) and can we do it whilst we're detached from the outcome.
This is what most manifestation techniques teach. Get it going and then detach from the result. I guarantee you it was written by an Aquarian.
Reflection question: What bold steps do I need to take to grow my vision?
