Libra - a Cardinal, masculine sign that stands out in the wheel of cosmic friends as the only object of the zodiac, represented by the scales. It has 'relationship' written all over it. It's an air sign that deals with justice, with questions of 'us' over 'I', giving rise to the very idea of aspects in Astrology, through this dynamic.

In order to relate to another, we can only bring ourselves closer or push away. Libra follows the sign of discernment - Virgo, and therefore retains the value of judgement, without the harshness of Virgo in shadow. It precedes Scorpio, the sign of depth and it pauses to weigh in on its options before it jumps right in towards healing and transformation. It's THE negotiator. In its brightest and most well-dressed self it is the energy of negotiation and as a leadership sign it needs to remember the power in that rather than readily give it away. It enforces with charisma. But it enforces nonetheless. For a sign associated with peace it can get fairly passive aggressive, when it lacks balance within.

With the South Node, there is an invitation to purge.

To remove. To release.

I've been purging for weeks now. Money. Clothes. Emails. Beliefs. Oh, those beliefs that nestle so comfortably within me and refuse to leave. I've opened the door and have started enforcing their departure. With charisma, of course.

Libra is not a feel-y sign, it has the capacity to be ruthless, especially in business, but it's motivated by fairness and truth. Today's Eclipse is an opportunity to ask yourself - where in life (your Libra cusp) have you negotiated yourself out of your inner truth at the expense of collective harmony? Can you find new ways of relating that maintain your leadership quality as an individual whilst your actions serve one and all? Who in your life is the most Libra-like person that you know and can you observe their behaviours, thoughts and (re)actions and discern your relationship to those (not the person)? What are they showing you that you are now ready to invite and embrace within your own life?

Today's energy says relate to your heart's content as you release old truths that have no value in the next phase of your life (in relation to your Libra house cusp). Have you, in the name of service (Virgo, 12th house from Libra) began sabotaging your needs and turned away from your value as an individual being (Aries, opposing sign and the current location of the North Node)?

Nourish those relationships that do make your heart sing through actions that you've taken the time to consider. But refrain from control and obsession over fears or lack. Breathe. Smell a flower. Go swimming. Let words be soft and measured. Let the truth of your participation away from or towards your healing journey (Chiron in Aries) be received with more compassion and less finality.

Let it be a choice. A conscious one.
