MYTHS & MUSINGS
MYTHS& MUSINGS
I grew up in awe of the Greek myths and legends and obsessed with the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. I chased stories and fables on pages, which later fed my gypsy soul. I love the ground, but the waters of the world started calling and I began exploring. Each step led to another (stating the obvious, but stay with me). All of a sudden, my hundreds of thousands of steps along the Earth led to an overnight change. I was healed. Sigh. (Insert signature Virgo eye rolls!)
My steps took me on curious journeys. Some were thousands of miles away. Others, far too close for comfort. Paths are an interesting thing. They are all about trust. The trust required to forge one - the unfamiliar ground waiting in anticipation for your heavy steps. As you release your burdens without ever asking the earth if she can take them. With each step you go and release. And she accepts. She holds your weight. She keeps on taking. (A bit like mothers, but that's another topic for another time.)
Trust. There's also the trust we need to follow an already forged path. And that's real surrender. Forging an own path is for leaders. Those of us who feel and just go. (Water/Fire types.) For those of us who live for the sensations of excitement. Who live for the smell of the new and the extraordinary. The unknown. It's for those who like to be in charge. In control. Aries - The Beginning - lends itself to this description. It represents those who trust themselves.
But those who follow, they know all about surrender. Pisces - The Bridge. Built on solid foundations with Virgoan precision, yet waiting to crumble once it's crossed. As the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces dissolves everything into no thing. Before it can restart at the beginning, again.
(Meaning: ”What is visible is the infinite. What is invisible is also the infinite. Out of the Infinite Being the finite has come, yet being infinite, only infinite remains.)
This is one of my favourite Vedic Mantras, which, to me, vibrates with a Pisces frequency. Purna in Sanskrit means Full/Whole/Boundless (with Divine Consciousness) - more Pisces words right there! When I chant this mantra, I feel expansive, whole and yet it takes me to the essence of my being - a one thing, asking for surrender.
Trusting the paths forged by others takes a full surrendered being. We see this in the relationship between parents and children, students and teachers… governments and the people. The more we walk paths forged by others the quicker we realise our own. The quicker we surrender and dissolve all that is, the sooner we get to the essence. To our truth. Where only one thing exists. Wholeness. Of your entire being.
And the cycle begins, again. With Aries at the helm. No wonder Aries rules the head and Pisces rules the feet. And sometimes the feet take you places that the head could have never imagined.
When they work together, magic happens.
I am not a Mundane Astrologer and rarely discuss collective energies. But we are ALL participating in one of the most pivotal times at the moment, where the world is no longer as we have known it. Especially the world within. As we dance between the depths of the oceans (Pisces) and the fierce spark of that first fire (Aries), we need to ask ourselves who and what have we been following and have we fully surrendered in order to begin again?
Sovereign.
